Vidu are running a search for a Regional Key Account Manager on behalf of one of the UK’s leading Distribution companies.
Our client has engaged with Vidu VIP to carry out the initial search process.

As Regional Key Account Manager you will be reporting directly into the Head of Sales. You will be responsible for our clients existing key strategic client base, across all sites within the region.
The purpose of the role will be to define and deliver customer retention and profitability models and relationships for the top tier accounts regionally.
This interesting and challenging role will see you working with regional and national colleagues on improving the customer experience. You’ll also take responsibility for:
Being responsible for the key regional clients retention, relationship and profitability
Working closely with regional sales teams and operational colleagues, supporting on boarding of new strategic clients
Managing accurate budget processes and forecasting requirements
Managing and resolving commercial issues ( such as service/credits/payments)
Ensuring compatibility and profile trade in line with contracts
Exploring additional income opportunities
Ensuring that regional portfolio is profitable
Negotiating and delivering annual rate reviews in line with company targets
Supporting service recovery for their clients
Managing professional monthly ‘partnership’ meetings with client base
Working with local and national operational colleagues to ensure service and trading profiles are being delivered
Supporting finance and credit control when required
A strong track record of success in management of high performing sales in the distribution/retail industry (typically to have been gained through 5 or more years’ experience in Regional or Area Management level)
A strong track record of delivering sales/account management targets in a field sales environment
Experience of (and great aptitude and passion for) people management
A focused approach to meeting and exceeding targets (both individually and through a team)
Computer literate and comfortable in the use of technology and IT systems, including a high degree of knowledge of MS Office
Demonstrating a confident, credible and accomplished presentation style
You’ll be comfortable, willing and able to lead by example and also adopt a practical hands-on approach when required.
Your excellent communication skills will also be vital in this role, as will your business acumen and strong commercial and financial awareness.
You will need to be willing and able to travel extensively and have a full driving licence.
