Vidu are working on an exciting assignment for one of the UK’s leading dedicated express transport providers. You will be part of a team responsible for operating and developing existing key customers and for nurturing and developing future accounts.
Our client has engaged with Vidu VIP to carry out the initial search process.
Vidu’s team of dedicated consultants will be your first point of contact when applying for this role.
The role:
You will be responsible for maintaining and developing specific customer accounts out of hours in order to ensure a smooth and efficient service to our clients customers 24/7. To achieve this, you must develop a strong relationship with key individuals for each of these customer accounts.
You must also work closely with internal teams, as appropriate, to ensure the customer’s expectations are fully met or even exceeded.
The successful candidate will have a logistics background ideally within express freight, and experience managing customer expectations and developing sales.
Freight Forwarding experience is essential along with Time Critical experience booking dedicated charter, Handcarry, Express Airfreight & emergency road solutions.
Experience of working within the Automotive & Aviation industry.
Strong Leadership and Communication skills.
Previous experience of working towards KPI’s and recording information accurately and to tight deadlines.
Ideally you will have knowledge of Tachograph and European regulations.
Excellent influencing skills and the ability to manage customer expectations.
Experience of managing Monthly Profit and Loss.
Financial awareness.
Excellent planning skills.
Ability to work under pressure and use your own initiative.
Proven track record of pro-active sales generation.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office systems.
Ability to work to a structured price guide.
Strong Negotiation skills.
It would be desirable in you spoke a Second European language.
