Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment on behalf of a leading logistics company in the search for a Freight Forwarder to work with their experienced team in their Preston office.
Our client have engaged with Vidu VIP to carry out the initial search process.

This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the UK’s largest European dedicated express transport providers. You will be part of a team responsible for operating and developing existing key customers and for nurturing and developing future accounts.
The successful candidate will have a logistics background, ideally Full trailer load freight experience, and a proven track record of managing customer expectations and developing sales.
Strong Leadership and Communication skills are essential, in addition to previous experience of working towards KPI’s and recording information accurately and to tight deadlines. Ideally you will have knowledge of Tachograph and European regulations.
Role responsibilities:
To increase profitability and customer service.
To develop both existing and new relationships with subcontractors, focusing on the UK National trailer and van market.
To support our clients supply chain strategy.
Create processes to be implemented throughout our clients business in relation to Import/Export Full trailer load carrier management.
Negotiating costs with carriers.
Deal with a strong network of Full trailer load carriers.
Excellent influencing skills and the ability to manage customer expectations.
Full Trailer Load experience including National UK and Import/Export.
Monthly Profit and Loss.
Financial awareness.
Excellent planning skills.
Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative.
Proven track record of pro-active sales generation.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office systems.
Ability to work to a structured price guide.
Negotiation skills.
Freight forwarding experience.
Desirable:
Second European language.
Time Critical experience booking dedicated charter, Handcarry, Express Airfreight & emergency road solutions.
Experience of working within the Automotive & Aviation industry.
