Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for an Office Manager on behalf of a pan-European leader in tailor-made transport, logistics and supply chain solutions.

Our client has engaged with Vidu VIP to carry out the initial search process.

Our team of dedicated consultants will be your first point of contact when applying for this role.

Role/Responsibilities:

Reporting to the General Manager Strategic Accounts you will be responsible for managing the day to day operations of our clients contract logistics and forwarding office in Manchester.

It’s a very autonomous role where you will play a key part in assisting our client in meeting and surpassing its budget growth 
ambitions.

Key Responsibilities:

Responding to logistics tenders in a timely manner and developing a strategy that grows the forwarding activities of the office.

Ensuring service excellence is delivered to all customers.

Creating and overseeing key performance measures and identifying trends that will lead to improvements in service and profitability.

Building strong business relationships with all key internal stakeholders 
across the organisation.

Contract management and identifying ways to improve operations.

Attending and leading successful customer review meetings.

Developing, maintaining and delivering profitability of the office. 


Maximising the use of internal and external IT systems to drive efficiency within 
the team operations. 


Supporting and developing office staff under your responsibility.

Skills and experience required

Ideally a minimum of three year’s experience in a management role.

Extensive knowledge of the UK, Ireland and continental freight forwarding market. 


Ambitious with aspirations to develop your operational and commercial skills in a pan-European organisation. 


Motivated by success and driven to reach targets. 


The ability to demonstrate interpersonal skills and communicate with others to build and maintain strong team and commercial 
relationships. 


A keen eye for detail with the ability to analyse data to build sound, commercial business plans. 


Enjoy working and actively contributing in a high performing team. 


Outstanding time management skills. 


Self-motivated with the ability to adapt quickly. 


Excited by change with the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.

A willingness to go on regular business travel. 


Good knowledge of Microsoft office packages and are IT-literate.

Educated to degree level equivalent (preferable but not essential)
