Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for an extremely commercially aware Senior Financial Analyst on behalf of a leading eCommerce distribution business. This will initially be a 6 month contract with the view to going permanent.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Finance professional who is looking to join a fast paced, entrepreneurial business and gain International working knowledge.

Overall Role Purpose:

To provide financial expertise to management and to the corporate parent finance team in the analysis of financial statements and operational performance.

Support strategic functions such as company budgets, business plans, capital plan, etc and accounting functions such as developing and implementing policies and procedures, maintenance and review of financial data, reporting financial results, etc.

Main responsibilities and key activities:

Prepare financial reports for management and provide or consolidate operating subsidiary input for responses to corporate financial requests.

Perform analysis of financial results, explaining reasons for significant variances from plan and between accounting periods.

Assist in the preparation, compilation and analysis of the annual business plan, capital plan and strategic plan.

Perform periodic updates to business plans to reflect operating changes.

Research and develop accurate interim forecasts and systems which integrate expense, capital and budgeting.

Assist in ensuring that corporate requirements are met for holding company and operating subsidiary accounting functions.

Conduct special studies and projects such as development of financial policies and procedures and computer-based information and reporting systems as directed by management.

Skills and experience required

Experience working as a Financial Analyst or Finance Manager specifically within the Logistics sector.

A Bachelor’s degree/equivalent in finance, accounting or related field.

Three years’ experience in financial analysis, financial planning, business consulting, project management, accounting, auditing or operations analysis.
(CPA or MBA preferred).

Knowledge of advanced personal computer applications and accounting systems.

Strong analytical and communication skills.
