Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for a Business Improvement Manager (field based) on behalf of a leading same day courier and express freight service provider.

Our client has engaged with Vidu VIP to carry out the initial search process.

Scope of the role:

To introduce effective plans and mentor/support the Franchisee Network ensuring all Franchisees and owned office targets and objectives are achieved.

Agree targets in line with our clients company objectives, advise and guide Franchisees to achieve financial and operational objectives whilst complying with company policy and legislation.  

Responsibilities & Objectives:

Ensure targets are agreed in line with company objectives, encourage/support local activity and KPI reporting, to ensure delivery of these targets.

Introduce policies and procedures to ensure the Network is adequately trained and resourced to deliver the agreed targets.

Deliver operational change to a high standard whilst providing guidance.

Document and Deliver operational productivity and improve processes.

Accountable for driving improvement to achieve regional targets and compliance.

Implement KPI’s and measurement plans to ensure we can measure impact of change for benefit realisation.

Manage stakeholders effectively to gain buy in for change and utilise knowledge across the business.

Lead and facilitate workshops with Franchisees to ensure we gain the right input and implement business processes.

Own the development and drive improvement of network business process and system improvement.

Functional expert to challenge and refine business, functional and data requirements.

Develop Growth plans and mentor Franchisees to achieve expected revenue from businesses within their postcode allocation.

Complete Regular reviews of Progress and Profitability of the Franchise Network.

Highlight areas of risk to Head of Franchise.

Mentoring/coaching the Network teams’ day to day and conduct field visits where appropriate.

Skills and experience required

A successful track record in the same, or similar type role within the Logistics sector, ideally within Express/Same Day.

The ability to write compelling business cases and be the advocate for change programmes.

Sound analytical mind-set with the ability to interpret and shape data.

Stakeholder management and ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Exceptional communication skills including coordination skills, good personal presentation, oral and written communication skills.

Excellent active listening skills and the ability to influence others to move towards a common vision or goal.

Comfortable leading teams to deliver the best business outcomes.

Strong problem solving ability.

Experience in Operational service.
