About this position

Vidu are running a super exciting assignment on behalf of a family owned, rapidly growing, National and International Delivery Business.

Our client specialise in Courier, Same Day, International and Warehousing.

As part of their 2020 growth plan and strategy, they are in the search for a Sales Executive to join their highly successful team.

Our client has engaged with Vidu VIP to carry out the initial search process.

Vidu’s team of dedicated consultants will be your first point of contact when applying for this role.

The Role:

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, this is very much a hunter role, where you will be focusing 100% of your time upon generating new business.

Your ability to allocate your time effectively and plan your day in advance shall greatly dictate your success in meeting set targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Create and implement a business plan for your allocated territory, in order to maximise sales and deliver excellent standards of customer service at all times.

Identify new business opportunities and extending our clients customer base.

Maintain strong sales administration including use of CRM to follow up all leads, enquiries/quotes.

Adopt a consultative approach with customers in tailoring appropriate solutions to meet their needs, whilst developing/maintaining strong knowledge of our clients solutions and full product range.

Skills and experience required

A proven track record of selling Same Day/Contract Logistics/Warehousing is essential.

Ideally a minimum of 2 years experience within a field sales role.

An effective negotiator, with the ability to pro-actively build strong relationships via first class communication and influencing skills. (You will enjoy genuinely ‘adding value’ to customers and not simply ‘selling a service’)

Accustomed to selling with real integrity, you will be used to delighting customers and have a demonstrable track record of sales success in terms of achieving targets consistently.

Key account management experience would be advantageous along with strong prospecting skills.

You must be commutable to Birmingham and have a valid UK driving licence.
