About this position

Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for an Account Director to work in our clients Major Account Team, looking after some of their major eCommerce and Retail Customers, to maximise revenue opportunities, deliver key initiatives and lead a virtual team to achieve account plan objectives.


Our client has engaged with Vidu VIP to carry out the initial search process.

About the role:

You will be responsible for managing some of our clients biggest UK and Export Parcel customers, including a blend of existing and development customers. Delivering revenue and business targets, you will identify and implement breakthrough deals and successfully deploy new products, campaigns and solutions.
 
A key aspect of this role is networking internally with colleagues of senior levels. In line with this you will represent the voice of the customer across those senior colleagues within our clients business they will then look to you to collaborate with third parties in order to maximise opportunities and mitigate competitor challenges alongside enhancing the role of the business.
 
You will be required to deploy strategic account plans to increase share of spend, improve and enhance customer satisfaction and provide accurate forecast and reporting for monthly and FYF revenue.
 
This role is remote based working and therefore location is flexible.

Skills and experience required

Strategic business developer with a successful track record in the parcels, logistics export parcels sales markets and with high levels of acumen and an ability to identify and act upon emerging trends.

Good understanding of the UK parcels and Export markets and the opportunities that exist for our clients group.

Exceptional internal and external influencing skills, especially at board-level or executive decision-maker.

Strong strategic planning and project management skills, with experience in deploying change programmes.

Self-starter and capable of operating with ambiguity and a high degree of autonomy.

Inspires and communicates with enthusiasm and passion even in difficult situations.

Commercially shrewd, with a challenger attitude that is focused on getting the best deal for our client.

Excellent written skills with the capability to create compelling briefs, presentations and business cases.

Strong negotiation skills and a single-minded focus on revenue and profit generation.

Expert in sales skills including call planning, proposition development and pitching.

Degree would be preferable but not essential.
