Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for a UK Freight Forwarder to be based out of the West Midlands on behalf of a rapidly growing logistics business.
This is an exciting, challenging and demanding role. You will need to be able to multitask, prioritise your own workload and communicate effectively.
Our client uses a range of Microsoft products throughout the business, so a good working knowledge is essential.
Our client had engaged with Vidu VIP to carry out the initial search.

Scope of the Role:
Ensure the daily plan is completed in real time, managing resources effectively and maximising utilisation.
Create collection plans to inform suppliers of loading requirements.
Manage new and existing customer accounts.
Be responsible for increasing profitability, customer service and developing existing and new relationships with customers, suppliers and subcontractors.
Assist the Contract Manager in managing a small team and increasing margin.
Experience in planning and managing a high volume of customers in the general haulage/contract logistics sector.
Previous experience in providing transport quotes and negotiating costs with carriers.
A high level of subcontract/freight forwarding experience and the ability to develop your own supplier network.
Thorough attention to detail and organisation skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
Comprehensive understanding on vehicle transit times and driving hours.
