Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for an individual experienced in Import Media Operations, to join a rapidly growing, forward thinking logistics business in Manchester.
Dependent on experience the role is positioned at circa £35,000 basic salary, plus 10% company profit bonus, 5% pension, life insurance, Income Protection, plus holidays and excellent opportunities for career development and progression.

Scope of the Role:
Reporting directly into the Media Operations Manager you will be responsible for the import and cross trade of shipments in accordance with agreed client SOP’s.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Operations:
Deliver excellent customer communication at all times to ensure we are delivering the best service.
Source logistics using our Best in Class approach.
Proactively arrange bookings and manage the logistics supply chain direct with overseas printers and UK warehouses for assigned clients.
Maintain client SOP’s.
Work within defined credit limits and ensure Duty & VAT payments are received prior to delivery.
Report discrepancies or delays and log non-conformance.
Take every opportunity to apply better buying principles to all shipments.
Identify and report development opportunities.
Compliance:
Complete ERTS manifesting in accordance with transit control and customs guarantees.
Work in accordance with the company values.
Administration:
Complete all order management and tracking information as agreed in the SOP.
Create CargoWise shipments.
Complete all sales and purchase e-billing.
Maintain job costing and profit details for each job.
Complete internal and external management reporting.
Upload commercial documents to eDocs/CargoWise.
Process deferment account records.
Communication:
Participate in daily team catch-up.
Put forward new ideas to Branch and Team Manager at any time.
Attend team meetings as required.
Attend quarterly office meetings.
Attend meetings with clients, partners and suppliers as required.
Work in accordance with the company values.
Understanding of the Media/Publishing industry is essential.
CargoWise experience would be desirable.
Experience of handling groupage containers from Far East.
Understanding of the pick and pick process.
Service excellence and strong communication skills.
Good attention to detail.
Work with pride and professionalism.
