About this position

Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for an Employee Relations Manager to be based out of Heathrow on behalf of an extremely forward thinking, globally renowned logistics business.

Playing a key role in the district management team, you will have responsibility for driving the delivery of a first class employee relations service strategically and operationally across the business, including the hiring of new recruits, managing the full employee life cycle, mentoring and engagement. There will be occasional travel to other offices in the area so a driving license is essential.

In addition to the basic salary, you will be eligible for the management team bonus, and have an attractive package, plus excellent opportunities for career development and progression.

Key Responsibilities:

Developing, implementing and overseeing employee relations, including hiring, performance management, training and development, environmental, and other HR related systems.

Support in the delivery and coordination of talent acquisition events, attractions, initiatives/projects, graduate/apprentice, work experience placements and external talent acquisition partners.

Maintain up to date employee information and files in line with current employment legislation ensuring that physical documents are maintained, and digital copies are added correctly to the system.

Support in the effective communication strategy for employees. Partner with the district leadership team to positively impact engagement and retention rates.

Personal administration: Ensure compliance with the necessary requirements in human resources, legal compliance, organisational needs, and employee issues.

Organisational structure and workforce plan: Coordinate the organisational plan to changes on short, medium and long term according to business needs: provide organisational support for the optimisation of resources (growth and/or reduction of staff)

Providing recommendations on training needs and maintaining the staff at the highest level of skills and knowledge to meet the needs and objectives of the company.

Manage the performance and appraisal system.

Address any employee relations issue with discretion and professionalism.

Accurately calculate Time Sheets and pass on concise information to the accountant for Payroll.

Liaise with other department heads to manage their recruitment needs.

Skills and experience required

CIPD qualified ideally at Chartered level.

HR Generalist background with proven business partnering experience in a similar role.

Experience working at a strategic level with positive outcomes.

Up to date knowledge of employment legislation and professional HR issues.

Ability to communicate effectively, lead and influence.

Strong influencing skills, with the courage to challenge.

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Agile and driven to deliver in a fast paced environment.

Proactive and able to work on your own initiative, always working to stay ahead of ever-changing employment.

A strong work ethic and a positive approach.

Ability to work confidentially and with complete discretion.

Team Player who is willing to assist the team to drive the business forward.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft packages.

Full UK driving license.
