About this position

Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for an Application Support Analyst on behalf of a rapidly growing, technology driven logistics business.

Circa £35,000 – £40,000 basic salary, (dependent on experience) plus entry into the company bonus scheme, life cover, package and excellent opportunities for career development and progression.

Scope of the Role:

This a newly created role within the IT Team of our clients business and is pivotal to the ongoing transformation of their internal and external technical & operational service offering.

The primary objective of the role is to support, review, design and implement business system changes, working closely with operational teams to enhance system deliverables and client experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Support and develop our clients core enterprise transport management system (Cargowise)

Working with our clients Systems Integration Manager to support new and existing software solutions.

Supporting multiple IT projects and business units whilst working to tight deadlines.

Communicating with internal colleagues to understand the needs of departments and the organisation as a whole.

Investigate, diagnose and resolve system faults and technical issues.

Identify system development opportunities, implement, test and integrate approved recommendations.

Support staff and teams when deploying recommended changes, including helping to resolve any issues.

Create and deliver business intelligence reporting using Tableau and Power Bi.

Undertake any other duties appropriate to the job as may be reasonably required.

Skills and experience required

2+ years logistics/supply chain Operational & Industry knowledge ideally within a multi-modal environment.

Operational knowledge of Cargowise is desirable but not essential.

Excellent understanding of T-SQL programming and Microsoft SQL Server.

Develop SQL Scripts/Stored Procedures to validate data/process data.

Develop message sets and message flows based on the XML and EDIFACT for various interfaces.

Ability to question processes and existing practices.

Organisation and planning skills, with a proven ability to work on own initiative.

Proven ability to prioritise workloads and meet tight deadlines.

Process driven and analytically minded.

Excellent communication skills, spoken and written.

Pragmatic/can do attitude with a flexible approach to working practices.

Willingness to travel if required.

Willingness to undertake further self-development.
