Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for a Commercial Manager on behalf of a rapidly growing eCommerce distribution and Freight Forwarding business.

Our client has engaged with Vidu VIP to commence the initial search.

Your Mission:

Working closely with the Group Director of Sales and Business Development Managers you will be responsible for understanding the current client base to extract sufficient value and new business from existing customers. You will also have input on the Company’s sales and marketing strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify new commercial opportunities by looking at the existing client base.

Generate leads and cold call prospective customers (create a sales pipeline).

Generate new business from said pipeline.

Cross sell between all modes of transport and ecommerce and identify new opportunities from existing and prospective clients.

Meet with clients face to face, over the phone and via Teams.

Have a good understanding of the businesses’ services and be able to advise others about them and to consult for the sales team when required.

Skills and experience required

5 years’ experience in the eCommerce or freight industry across various modes of transport.

A strong communicator with the ability to win business with new and existing customers.

Strong interpersonal skills for building and developing relationships with clients.

IT skills, including the use of the Microsoft package (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).

Agile decision-making skills.

Risk management skills.

The ability to influence external stakeholders.
