About this position

Vidu is working on a super exciting assignment in the search for a Project Manager, on behalf of a rapidly growing, technology focused eCommerce distribution business.

This is a hybrid role with 3 days a week onsite, 2 days a week working from home – Our clients office is based in the Southeast of England.

£70,000 – £80,000 basic salary (dependent on experience) plus KPI related bonus, industry leading benefits package and excellent opportunities for career development and progression.

Your Mission:

Working alongside the CEO, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of a new project related to parcel delivery and logistics.

It’s imperative you have a strong understanding of parcel delivery processes including sorting, routing and transportation.

Key Responsibilities:

Defining project objectives, scope and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders, and developing comprehensive project plans with timelines and budgets.

Gathering requirements, deliverables and timeframes from stakeholders agreeing priorities with the client and planning your resources.

Managing 3PL Relationship – Working with third party logistics providers to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of parcels.

Optimising Delivery Solutions – Identifying opportunities to improve delivery efficiency, reduce costs and enhance customer service.

Delivery Management Systems – Using Delivery Management Systems to manage and track parcel delivery operations.

Allocating and managing resources effectively to ensure the project stays on track and within budget.

Identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential risks through the project lifecycle.

Ensuring all project deliverables meet establishes standards and stakeholder expectations.

Maintaining clear and consistent communication with stakeholders, clients, team members, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns.

Tracking project progress against the plan, identifying any deviations, and implementing any corrective actions.

Skills and experience required

Previous experience working as a project manager within the parcel industry.

Sound understanding of parcel delivery processes including sorting, routing and transportation.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Good problem solver with the ability to identify and resolve issues effectively.

Sound understanding of business processes and financial management.

Good organisation and time management – The ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

Proficient in Project Management software and tools.

Flexible work ethic.

Willingness to go over and above.
