Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for a Customer Service Assistant, on behalf of a rapidly growing, super fast paced Transport and Logistics business.
£26,000 – £27,000 basic salary (dependent on experience) 20 days holiday plus statutory, pension and excellent opportunities for career development and progression.

Your Mission:
As Customer Service Advisor in a network environment, you will be the first point of contact for customers and network depots.
Your role will focus on providing exceptional service, handling delivery queries, and ensuring smooth communication between the network depot and customers. You’ll play a crucial role in helping goods move efficiently through the network.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to customer enquiries via phone, email, and online system.
Track and trace pallet deliveries using internal and network systems.
Proactively update customers on delivery statuses, delays, or issues.
Liaise with internal transport planners, warehouse staff, and network members to resolve issues quickly.
Handle POD (Proof of Delivery) requests.
Log and manage customer complaints or service failures, escalating where necessary.
Provide support during peak periods, working collaboratively with other departments.
Proactive monitoring.
Ad hoc duties, when required by your line manager.
Previous experience in a customer service role, ideally in a transport or logistics environment.
Knowledge of pallet networks (e.g. Palletline, Palletways, Fortec, Palletforce, etc.) is a strong advantage.
Excellent telephone and email manner.
Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and manage time effectively.
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
