Vidu is working on a super exciting assignment on behalf of an extremely tech focused, innovative and forward thinking logistics business, in the search for a Business Development Manager to further develop their warehouse into store network.

This role combines traditional sales functions with strategic account management and operational coordination. It is ideally suited to a commercially minded, strategic individual who thrives on building relationships and driving tangible business growth in a fast-paced environment.

£75,000 – £85,000 basic salary (dependent on experience) plus uncapped commission structure – 6% GP for the lifetime of your accounts trading, fully expensed car or car allowance, industry leading benefits package and excellent opportunities for career development and progression based on the value you add.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify, prospect, pitch, and onboard new retail partner stores that meet our clients vision and target market criteria.

Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing retail partners and key stakeholders.

Develop and execute sales plans to increase order volume, revenue, and profitability, consistently working towards and exceeding set targets and KPIs.

Lead contract negotiations and secure new business deals, ensuring win-win scenarios for both the partners and our client.

Oversee the partner onboarding process to ensure it’s seamless and efficient, and that the new stores succeed within an initial launch period.

Monitor and analyse partner performance metrics (order volume, sales, delivery times) to identify opportunities for improvement and implement growth strategies.

Maintain an in-depth understanding of warehouse into store networks – including competitor activity, market trends, and relevant technology solutions.

Work closely with internal teams such as operations, marketing, and account management to address operational challenges, enhance service levels, and ensure client requirements are met at all times.

Skills and experience required

Demonstrable experience in meeting and exceeding sales targets in a sales or business development role within warehouse to store networks.

Experience within the consumer logistics, eCommerce, or the retail sector is essential.

Outstanding communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers at various levels.

Confidence in using data, metrics, and insights to guide decision-making, shape commercial conversations, and drive performance.

A self-driven, motivated, and entrepreneurial approach with the ability to work autonomously and manage a robust pipeline of prospects.

A solutions-focused mindset, adept at identifying risks and implementing strategies to resolve issues quickly.

Comfortable with National travel.
