Vidu is working on a super exciting assignment in the search for a Head of Sales, on behalf of the UK’s first all-electric haulier, who are delivering zero-emission freight and depot-based HGV charging solutions, on a mission to build long-term partnerships with commercial fleet operators looking to transition away from diesel.
Alongside a Series A raise of approximately £50m, and as part of their ambitious growth plan and strategy – you will play a pivotal role in accelerating their commercial traction, building a high-quality pipeline, and driving revenue growth in line with the companies’ objectives.

Your Mission:
As a new business focused Head of Sales, you will be tasked with driving revenue growth and securing new business across logistics, retail, manufacturing, distribution, and fleet operators to increase our clients market share.
You will drive the acquisition of new business generation by engaging with your own network, in addition to developing new relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers to identify emerging opportunities.
You will act as an ambassador for our client, representing them at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings and build relationships across the UK logistics sector and fleet electrification ecosystem, helping to establish them as a leading brand within zero-emission haulage and charging infrastructure.
Following the completion of our clients Series A round of funding you will have an opportunity to recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing sales team based on the value you add.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Sales Execution:
Build, manage, and convert a strong pipeline of electric HGV haulage opportunities
Identify and engage logistics service buyers across, retail, manufacturing, distribution, and fleet operators
Develop senior relationships with key decision-makers
Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting through to contract close
Work with pricing, operational, and technical teams on tailored solutions
Support structuring of long-term haulage and charging contracts
Commercial Strategy:
Partner with the CRO and senior leadership team to execute the commercial growth plan and strategy
Provide customer and market insight to inform positioning and pricing
Identify new opportunities in fleet electrification and infrastructure
Pipeline & Revenue Growth:
Build and maintain a high-quality sales pipeline
Deliver against revenue and customer acquisition targets
Implement forecasting, reporting, and scalable sales processes
Proven track record of success in B2B sales within haulage, logistics, fleet, or transport sectors.
Strong network of contacts across UK logistics operators, fleet owners, manufacturing, retail, industrial , distribution, logistics service buyers.
Commercial acumen, strong negotiation and relationship building skills and the gravitas to secure long-term high value complex contracts is essential.
Proven track record of sourcing, developing and closing complex enterprise or mid-market deals.
Strong consultative sales capability with the ability to understand operational customer needs.
Experience in transport services and infrastructure, would be highly desirable.
Previous team leadership experience would be advantageous but not essential.
Comfortable operating both strategically and hands-on in a start-up/early stage of development business.
Strong communication and presentation skills with the gravitas to build relationships at C-Suite level.
Self-motivated, driven, results oriented and organised with strong pipeline management and sales discipline.
