Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for an Account Director on behalf of a globally renowned postal and courier company.
There is an extremely competitive salary on offer with this role in addition to a 30% OTE bonus, alongside a corporate bonus in which you can double your salary and an accelerator reward model. £5,500 car allowance (or £5,000 cash alternative) 25 days holidays plus statutory, pension, full healthcare cover and excellent opportunities for career development and progression.

Scope of the Role:
You will be working in our clients Strategic Account Team looking after some of their major eCommerce and Retail Customers to maximise revenue opportunities, deliver key initiatives and lead a virtual team to achieve account plan objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for managing some of our clients biggest UK and export parcel customers including a blend of existing and development customers. Delivering revenue and business targets, you’ll identify and implement breakthrough deals and successfully deploy new products, campaigns and solutions.
A key aspect of this role is networking internally with colleagues at a senior level. In line with this, you’ll represent the voice of the customer at a senior level within the business. This will involve collaboration with third parties in order to maximise opportunities and mitigate competitor challenges alongside enhancing the role of our client.
You’ll be required to develop and deploy strategic account plans to increase share of spend, improve and enhance customer satisfaction and provide accurate forecast and reporting for monthly and FYF revenue.
Strategic business developer with a successful track record in the parcels, logistics, and export sales markets, with high levels of acumen and an ability to identify and act upon emerging trends.
Exceptional internal and external influencing skills, especially at board or executive decision-maker level Strong strategic planning and project management
skills, with experience in deploying change programmes.
Self-starter and capable of operating with ambiguity and a high degree of autonomy.
Inspires and communicates with enthusiasm and passion even in difficult situations.
Commercially shrewd, with a challenger attitude that is focused on getting the best deal for our client.
Excellent written skills with the capability to create compelling briefs, presentations and business cases.
Strong negotiation skills and a single-minded focus on revenue and profit generation.
Good understanding of the UK parcels and export markets and the opportunities that exist within our clients Group.
Expert in sales, including call planning, proposition development and pitching.
Demonstrable experience in sales at a senior level.
Proven track record of consistent delivery against targets.
Leadership/Coaching Certification (desirable but not essential)
Graduate or relevant experience (desirable but not essential)
ISP Registered Sales Professional (desirable not essential)
