Vidu are working on an exciting search for an Account Manager to cover the Cambridge territory on behalf of one of the worlds most renowned Logistics companies.

Role/Responsibilities:

Our client are looking to appoint a hungry, driven, entrepreneurial Account Manager to maintain and grow their market leadership / revenue within the Cambridge territory, through the achievement of Acquisition and Development revenue targets.

You will be tasked with managing and developing a portfolio of customers through a structured sales approach (CORK), building strong commercial customer relationships to ensure that customer needs are recognised and tailored to our client solutions / product offerings.

Develop and implement an approach to secure competitors / prospects business in the most efficient and cost effective way, through planned and targeted Sales Activity – Including cold calling, courier accompaniments, working with the Lead Qualification team/telesales and various on-line tools.

Establish customer agreements and ensure that pricing guidelines applied for customers are met.

Ensure that customer prices are reviewed on a regular basis and whenever any discrepancy arises between actual and promised volumes a re-negotiation takes place.

Build a Pipeline that equates to 40% of the overall territory revenue size and supports new business and FTB growth targets.

Develop and implement a personal sales plan and call cycle that incorporates initiatives for identifying and gaining new business and maximises growth of existing customers to achieve the individual sales (volume ) targets.

Manage all customer-related information by effective and varied communication methods.

To regularly update the Global Sales CRM tool (COMET) and existing Sales tools to support correct pricing and analysis of customer activity.

Monitor customer performance, loyalty and satisfaction to measure success, business fluctuation and possible business at risk. Take appropriate corrective action internally and/or with the customer.

Promote our clients brand image and values through own appearance and behaviour so that it reflects their high standards and develops customers’ relationship.

Skills and experience required

Experience in Air Express or the Freight Forwarding industry would be desirable, alternatively experience in a segmented service industry.

A strong work ethic with a desire to succeed and over achieve Sales target and Performance measures.

Excellent planning and organisation skills.

Enthusiasm and desire to succeed.

PC skills to include: Word, Exel and Outlook.

Excellent communication skills.

University bachelor degree in a business discipline.
