Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for an Accounts Assistant to join the Finance department of a market leading eCommerce distribution business.

Our client has engaged with Vidu VIP to carry out the initial search process.

Scope of the role:

To provide efficient and effective business information support within a team environment and play an active role in ensuring the ongoing business continuity requirements for the company are maintained.

Main responsibilities and key activities:

Work with existing Excel based tools to support the finance function of the business.
Large data manipulation.
Sales Ledger tasks (AR)
Purchase Ledger tasks (AR)
Supporting other members of the finance team as required.

Other ledger accounting tasks.
Cashbook.
Ad hoc work as required.

Skills and experience required

A proven track record working as an Accounts Assistant or experience of Sales Ledger/Purchase Ledger within the Logistics sector would be desirable, alternatively experience in the same/similar role within a service based business.

Degree level required or studying towards a technical accounting qualification.

It’s imperative you are a team player who will be able to work across the finance team but also actively engage with end users, peers, external contacts and technical colleagues.

You will have a methodical approach to preparing data and reports.

The ability to adherence to strict deadlines.

Experience with Sage Accounting would be desirable.

Previous work experience in a corporate/international environment would also be preferable.
