About this position

Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for a Bid Response/Tender Response Assistant to support the Bid Manager on behalf of a rapidly growing express logistics business.

£35,000 basic salary, plus package and excellent opportunities for career development and progression.

Our client has engaged with Vidu VIP to commence the initial search.

Your Mission:

To support the Bid Manager in responding to tenders and supporting with complex bids through the complete bid cycle. The remit extends across UK & International Sales for both new and existing customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Identifying and developing new tender opportunities – Revenue generation.

Working with internal and external customers to ensure optimum effort and performance is applied.

Developing and maintaining a standard Tender library for response documents and questionnaires.

Maintaining and developing new and existing external relationships.

Managing the end to end tender process.

Build sufficient internal and external relationships to achieve agreed targets.

Manage the development of tender prospects.

Support in distributing all Invitations to Tender (and similar documents) to the relevant Sales Person/Key Account Manager.

Build relationships with identified key decision makers and influencers, and introduce our clients services where appropriate.

Work closely with the relevant sales people, creating a sustainable network of contacts and key individuals within the business.

Co-ordinate resources (both internal & external) to ensure a successful response.

Ensure timescales are achieved at each step of the bid process, including all internal governance, while taking the initiative in setting realistic deadlines.

Skills and experience required

Strong track record supporting Bid/Tender Managers in developing and managing winning proposals for Public and Private sector customer (ideally gained within the Supply Chain / Logistics industry)

Previous experience of end to end tender process, including Public Contract Regulations (PCR).

Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.

Excellent presentation skills.

Driving license. (Maximum of 6 points)
