Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for Station Manager in Bristol on behalf of one of the worlds most renowned Logistics companies.

Our client has engaged with Vidu VIP to carry out the initial search process.

Vidu’s team of dedicated consultants will be your first point of contact when applying for this role.

Within this role you will be responsible for the safe and efficient performance of one of our clients prime Forwarding stations, with a key focus on delivering budget EBIT, customer service excellence and employee engagement.

Key Accountabilities:

Oversee the operations at our clients Bristol site, ultimately ensuring that they provide a consistently high level of service to their customers and that budgetary targets, including EBIT, are achieved.

Lead and motivate the team within the branch to drive employee engagement.

Develop solid relationships with key customers and prospects to retain and deliver new business growth.

Energise, support and monitor local sales team to ensure new customer wins.

Ensure all business delivers maximum profit in a compliant manner through implementation of best practice in all areas.

Work on continuous improvement to ensure a high level of operational service and delivery of key KPIs, such as time stamps and customer complaint reductions.

Regularly review reports and initiate action for improvements as needed.

Ensure that all company and legal standards are met in a compliant manner; in particular with reference to health and safety, security and fiscal requirements.

Undertake and support project work and company initiatives on an ad-hoc basis.

Skills and experience required

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a management position within a freight forwarding environment.

Commercially minded with the ability to handle short and medium-term business issues.

Excellent decision making skills.

Excellent leadership skills and related judgement.

Solid communication skills.
