Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for a Bureau Manager to join the team of a rapidly growing, technology focused logistics business.

Circa £40,000 basic salary (dependent on experience) plus bonus structure, package and excellent opportunities for career development and progression.

Scope of the Role:

Achieve annual GP target as set out in the business plan, by securing new EU customs clearance and our clients Bureau’ business from prospects and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Commercial Development:
Use existing database to source opportunities to develop EU clearance and our clients Bureau’ prospects.

Identify other means of further developing the prospect database.

Issue quotations to prospects and existing clients and conduct prospect/client visits or telephone and video calls as required.

Work with other colleagues as required, to support new business development opportunities.

Obtain referrals from existing clients.

Maintain up to date information on prospects in the sales and marketing database and ensure all activity and pipeline information is logged.

Ensure sales pipeline remains sufficient to enable targets to be achieved.

Compliance:
Keep abreast of new legislative requirements.

Ensure full compliance to the current credit policy.

Ensure that all legal matters are passed to the Compliance Manager for review.

At all times represent and act in the best interest of the company, the shareholders and the employees.

Complete other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, as requested

Work in accordance with the company values to maintain a positive environment with all teams across all departments.

Marketing:
Liaise closely with the marketing department to ensure effective marketing of our clients products, services and expertise to prospective clients.

Skills and experience required

In depth knowledge of import and export HMRC regulations for frontier clearance, bonded goods, IPR, OPR, CFSP, Customs Warehousing and VAT / Duty.

Proven experience developing and securing new business.

Ability to contribute new ideas to enhance the ‘Customs Bureau’ product.

Proven ability to attract and secure new clients.

Digital approach and ability to drive and embrace all IT solutions.

Strong organisational skills.

Ability to convert prospects to secured business.

Ability to communicate with and present to prospects, clients and colleagues at all levels.

Clear and accurate reporting.

Strong communication skills and be well networked.
