Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for a Business Analyst to be based in the Netherlands, on behalf of a rapidly growing, extremely innovative logistics business.

This role will be home based with occasional travel to our clients Maastricht office, dependent on what projects our client are working on.

Role summary:

This is a newly created role where you will be an integral part of the Sales/Commercial team. You will be sourcing, analysing and interpreting data around prospective new business targets, benchmarking client wins/losses, M&A, and supporting Business Development Managers by providing weekly updates around sector specific news, trade events competitor analysis etc.

You will be a key player in the team, helping to deliver on our clients growth plan and strategy through analysis, research, delivery of insights, change recommendations, and adhoc projects.

Key responsibilities:

Presenting detailed analysis and insightful reporting to Senior Stakeholders within the business.

Staying up to date with internal business development and external business development and industry changes.

Targeting prospective companies – EDC location, key decision makers, incumbent suppliers by business unit and/or trade lane, research on targets business news/activity (the ability to find a hook)

Competitor research – benchmarking, client wins/losses, M&A etc.

Client and Industry research – creating weekly update packs for the Business Development Managers covering sector specific news and trade events.

Monitoring revenue and sales to maximise business profitability.

Skills and experience required

Previous experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Sales Solutions Anaylst, Project Analyst within the Logistics sector.

The ability to compile and convert in-depth complex market intelligence.

It’s imperative you can demonstrate strong attention to detail and have good written/verbal communication.

Proven track record of success within a research role – (Prospective companies, competitor analysis, client and industry research etc)

A can do attitude with the ability to find a hook when researching targets business news/activity.

Fluent in Dutch and English.

Ability to multi task, prioritise and manage time effectively.

Confident telephone manner.

Good working knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
