Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for a hungry, driven, entrepreneurial Sales/Business Development Manager based on the East Coast, USA, on behalf of a rapidly growing eCommerce distribution business.

This is a super exciting opportunity for an individual with a proven track record selling international ecommerce who is looking for a more autonomous role, within an agile, extremely entrepreneurial environment.

Circa $100,000 basic salary (dependent on experience) car allowance, uncapped commission structure, health care benefits, pension, life and disability insurance, and paid holidays.

Their platform brings global marketplaces, e-retailers, logistics integrators, and other e-commerce platforms a new AI optimisation standard to enable quick, smooth, and affordable cross-border e-commerce logistics solutions.

Your Mission:

Generating new business leads, positioning our clients suite of logistics solutions to ecommerce sellers, marketplaces and other logistics businesses, gaining new potential client shipping profiles, selling bespoke rate cards to new prospects identified in the sales process, providing excellent customer service, and communicating with both clients and internal teams.

You must meet quarterly and annual sales targets, manage your sales pipeline, and keep a record of your interactions using a CRM.

Self-generate and convert new opportunities, achieving $1m+ revenue per year.

Meet with clients face to face, over the phone and/or via Teams etc.

Build and develop relationships with clients.

Understand the needs of your clients and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet and/or exceed customer needs.

Have a good understanding of the businesses’ services and be able to educate potential customers about all services.

Skills and experience required

Upwards of 2.5 years experience selling within international courier/mail/express/freight transport industry.

Strong sales skills, including experience with sales cycles, customer qualification, and closing deals.

Ability to work autonomously and well as part of a team.

Knowledge of both postal and commercial services would be advantageous.

Self motivated with the ability to multi task.

Proven track record of success working with SME’s and Multi Nationals.

Strong interpersonal skills for building and developing relationships with clients.

Advanced IT skills, including the use of Excel.

A flexible approach to work with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

The ability to show initiative and the confidence to start things from scratch.

Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and active listening skills.

Experience with quotation preparation and pricing negotiations.

Proven ability to generate leads and manage a sales pipeline.

Strong customer service orientation.

Experience with CRM software.
