Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for a Remote based Business Development Manager, on behalf of a rapidly growing, technology led ecommerce fulfilment business, who are focused on helping online sellers grow their business by providing global enablement solutions.

£60,000-£65,000 basic salary (dependent on experience) plus £6,000 per year car allowance, completely uncapped commission, package and unlimited opportunities for career development and progression.

Your Mission:

Responsible for stakeholder engagement and customer centric end-user focus, with an ability to manage relationships, understand requirements and manage expectations, and translate these into technical outputs with defined acceptance criteria.

Ensure the market strategy is aligned to our clients 3 Year Plan and wider Commercial strategy and objectives.

Influence key internal and external stakeholders through compelling insights and effective presentation of solutions, product development and services.

Cross functional leadership and influencing skills to aid the delivery of results.

Strategic commercial thinking: translating customer needs and commercial opportunities to a sound commercial plan that yields short and long-term results.

Managing full-lifecycle programmes, and balancing resource capacity against demands for fulfilment projects, ongoing service support, project planning and onboarding.

Integration of complex fulfilment solutions for larger SME’s and Enterprises.

Manage multiple product streams and conflicting priorities.

Execute a value-based sales process identifying customer business pain, the development of need, and the subsequent qualification and formulation of value justified business proposals and responses to tenders.

Understanding industry trends and current challenges clients and their customers face, and verify these with the clients, building new propositions / service offerings which remain relevant to e-commerce fulfilment.

Assist in the development of the sales plan. Prepares forecasts and KPI reporting for the Head of Fulfilment Solutions, and executive management, for use in organisational planning, financial forecasting, budget setting and strategic planning.

Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives.

Effectively communicate the value proposition both internally and external through one team consultations and proposals/presentations.

Work collaboratively across teams – including Finance FPA, Account Management, Operations, Product and Marketing.

Establish the inbound lead requirements needed to meet the teams’ objectives

Provide full visibility into the sales pipeline at every stage of development.

Establish and foster partnerships and relationships with key customers/vendors both externally and internally.

Skills and experience required

Experience in eCommerce Fulfilment (B2C) is essential. Domestic and International supply chain knowledge would also be desirable.

Proven track record of success delivering upwards of £1m+ revenue per annum is essential.

Ability to operate effectively within cross-functional teams and in matrix environments.

Experience of developing a new business strategy.

Demand Management Prioritisation experience would be desirable.

Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and sustain long term business relationships.

Understanding of Project Delivery lifecycle and evidence of end-to-end delivery, from Inception to BAU handover.

Excellent stakeholder management.

Very strong influencing skills and ability to communicate complex technologies and processes in a clear and coherent way.

Strong sector technology platform understanding at application, enterprise and data levels.

A quick thinker, who works proactively to achieve stretch goals, in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
