Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for a Strategic Business Development Manager to secure our clients presence in the Irish market.
Our client has engaged with Vidu VIP to carry out the initial search process.

Our client are an extremely innovative, agile, technology focused logistics business who are going from strength to strength, particularly within Ireland – so much so that they need a strong sales professional to help them maximise their efforts within the market. Through your strong connections and proven track record of delivery, you’ll create a clear growth plan for solutions into and out of both Northern and Southern Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
You’ll be acutely aware of the demands for our clients target market and develop your pipeline to challenge our client to deliver against them. As well as growing your assigned client portfolio through establishing client portfolio knowledge and creating new lanes/services, you’ll be collaborating with colleagues in the UK and Europe to influence decision makers within our clients target markets.
You’ll be comfortable working at pace and playing your part in the sales cycle completing within an ambitious timescale. You’ll be their local expert and our client will rely on you to know your market, sharing your knowledge to identify risks and opportunities.
You need to have a proven track record of winning lanes into and out of Northern and Southern Ireland, with experience in selling value add solutions. You’ll be motivated by taking ownership of a key part of their sales strategy, with the ability to collaborate within the team and cross-functionally to get the right outcome for our clients customers and our client.
A solution seller within parcel, mail, express, time critical, logistics, freight forwarding/supply chain.
A self starter with a proven track record creating solutions and identifying profitable new business.
Ability to build strong working relationships internally and externally.
Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
A team player keen to work across different departments and develop clear recommendations using multiple data sources.
Adaptable and able to sell a diverse portfolio of solutions.
Ability to deliver under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
An innovative thinker with strong communication skills.
Excellent presentation skills and good working knowledge of Word, Excel and Powerpoint applications.
