Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for a Business Development Manager on behalf of a rapidly growing Logistics Provider.

Our client has engaged with Vidu VIP to carry out the initial search process.

Our consultants will be your first point of contact when applying for this role.

Role:

To deliver profitable sales growth across all our clients core propositions and products, in line with their 2019/2020 sales budget, in addition to broadening awareness of our client services across key stakeholders. You will be required to represent our client professionally at all times and ensure that their clients new and old receive a ‘best in class’ on-boarding and customer service experience.

It’s imperative you have the ability to go into an operation/warehouse and uncover the following:

Supply chain partners
Postal
Carriers Domestic and International
B-B/B-C split
Weights & dims
Volumes
3PL’s
Shipping inbound outbound
Containers
Same day
Warehouse management partners (WMS)
Order processing partnerAccountabilities:

Demonstrate strong communication and management skills.

Develop a strong and profitable pipeline across key sectors/verticals.

Deliver new business and profit targets across all our clients propositions.

Work constructively and proactively with all teams across the business.

Report and manage robust sales forecasts and budgets.

Support product/proposition/partner development.

Main Tasks and Key Responsibilities:

New business sales generation in line with personal and business targets.

Achieve profit margins in line with personal and business targets.

Work with your team to identify quality income.

Update and manage all reporting tools, such as CRM.

Ensure smooth on-boarding for new business clients.

Support retention (until handed over to account management)

Collate market intel and report back on competitor activity.

Continually look for new business opportunities.

Build long term relationships ensuring you gain customers trust and respect.

Skills and experience required

A proven track record of generating profitable new business in: Domestic and International, B-C/B-B Carrier, 3PL, 4PL, Pallet, Parcels, Freight Forwarding.

An understanding of carrier management platforms/multi carrier platforms, supply-chain technology.

Strong presentational skills.

Experienced in managing sales reporting platforms such as CRM.

Strong excel and word skills.

Experienced in presenting to senior management teams and leadership teams.

Capable of selling multiple propositions.

The ability to think on your feet and excel in a fast paced working environment.

Previous history of working autonomously and well as part of a team.

A strong communicator with the ability to build long term relationships internally and externally.
