Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for a Business Development Manager on behalf of a rapidly growing, privately owned logistics business.

£40,000-£50,000 basic salary (dependent on experience) plus 10% of all GM generated, 25 days holiday plus stats, pension, Private Medical Insurance (including Dental and Optical) Fuel and travel expenses.

Your Mission:
Reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for winning new business Nationally.
This role is home based with customer visits as and when required.
You will be responsible for sourcing and generating new business. As your list of clients and accounts grow, you can organically become more Account Management/Operational focused or pass these accounts across to the Account Management team if you prefer to be an out and out hunter.
Previous experience selling European Road Freight – Air and Sea is imperative.
Minimum of 2 years Freight forwarding sales experience.
Demonstrable sales track record.
Consistent drive, energy, and positive can do attitude.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Microsoft skills i.e: Excel, Word, Email and PowerPoint.
Ability to work well alone and as part of a team.
Understanding of post Brexit customs procedures.
