Vidu are working on an extremely unique and super exciting assignment, in the search for an entrepreneurial Business Development Manager in the North West of England, on behalf of a fast moving, energetic, entrepreneurial business, with business units serving one of the leading global e-retail businesses, one of the most innovative automotive retail businesses and a high-end detailing business.

The two business units of our clients group combine a mixture of asset light service management, and capital-intensive asset management in the other.

The business overall has grown significantly in previous years, and has most recently diversified into asset management and retail.

The Senior Management Team have identified areas of overlap and synergy in their current portfolio, and now believe that the Group is ready for further, significant, expansion with a number of service offerings.

Our client has engaged with Vidu VIP to carry out the initial search.

Scope of the Role:

This is an extremely unique and varied role, as our client are not only looking for a Sales/Business Development individual who can help them diversify their delivery business unit, using the technology and processes they have already developed, to successfully contract with other businesses in the Courier and Same Day marketplace, but also to assist them in expanding their asset management, remote driver management, and asset provision sectors, by targeting small companies.

Skills and experience required

A proven track record of success in Express Logistics, Courier, Sameday and or Vehicle rental is essential.

Existing relationships with customers such as DHL Express, Hermes, FedEx, Yodel, DX Express and DPD would be extremely advantageous.

Sound understanding and experience of transport consultancy, vehicle leasing, and “With Driver” markets would be a distinct advantage.

Entrepreneurial, self-managing and resourceful.

Excellent Microsoft skills, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Results orientated with the ability to build long term relationships.

A flexible and adaptable approach. This is a fast moving business where no two days are the same.
