Vidu are working on a super assignment in the search for a Business Development Manager to be based in Bradford on behalf of a rapidly growing, privately owned, global logistics solutions company.
Our client are looking for very much a hunter of new business. A highly motivated, entrepreneurial Business Development/Sales individual who has a proven track record of selling European Road Freight services, including Part Load, Full Load and Groupage.
Our client has engaged with Vidu VIP to carry out the initial search process.
Our team of dedicated consultants will be you first point of contact when applying for this role.
Scope of the role:
To generate new business in line with our clients business plan.
Act as a consultant to Key Customer Accounts, ensuring development of large-scale or strategic business opportunities.
Build and maintain a professional network that enables opportunities to be identified, qualified, developed and closed.
Source your own business leads and act on those presented by other members within the business.
Ensure the CRM is constantly updated with current and correct information at all times, including all marketing information.
Demonstrate an active approach to developing and securing new business.
Develop and leverage constructive relationships with external stakeholders, gaining access to key decision-makers.
A proven track record of success in a business development role, specifically in selling European Road Freight, including Part Load, Full Load and Groupage services.
A strong affinity towards, knowledge of and interest in the European transport market.
The ability to demonstrate a real commercial drive.
A creative individual who possess good communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
A real team player who is also comfortable working very autonomously.
It’s imperative you are a strategic thinker, highly driven, self-motivated and enthusiastic about achieving agreed new business targets.
Ability to think and act strategically.
Determination to succeed, with an undeterred drive and resilience.
Ambitious and driven with a proven track record of success in consultative selling.
Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
Excellent planning, organisational and problem solving skills at a senior level.
High commercial and business acumen, use of products, processes and internal systems.
Ability to work under pressure whilst always keeping our clients ethos and company values close to every decision you make.
