Scope of the Role:

As Carrier & Innovation Manager you will be working alongside a highly energetic Carrier Management team to assist in developing and delivering on our client’s global strategy.

You will be responsible for a portfolio of carriers ensuring their allocated integrations are operating within the agreed framework for carrier management, in addition to identifying opportunities with new strategic partners globally broadening our client’s eCommerce Delivery Solution.

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting the team in developing and rolling out the Global Carrier Strategic Road map and driving the business forward by engaging with future Delivery Partners.

Building and developing relationships with New and existing Final Mile Partners.

Engaging with new and existing carriers and facilitating their onboarding.

Working alongside the Director to develop the Pick Up and Drop Off point (PUDO) Road Map Strategy.

Providing visibility of carrier/delivery market insights and demonstrating to the board changing dynamics and market trends.

Providing SME support on a day to day basis for the operational running of the allocated portfolio of carriers.

Managing all new carrier initiatives from inception to delivery.

Working closely with the appropriate teams to provide excellent service levels.

Assisting in developing new strategies around continuous improvement.

Sharing technical knowledge to up-skill junior team members.

Facilitating Peer to Peer engagement between our Client and Carriers.

Processing and managing Change Requests from the carrier.

Engaging with Delivery leads and Managers to ensure on-time delivery of carrier Change Requests.

Interrogating carrier data and processes to identify and drive internal/external improvements in order to improve productivity/performance and decrease the cost to serve, be that for our client, the carrier or both.

Operating and managing a P&L of each carrier.

Produce and present meeting and business meeting requirements in visual, written and verbal formats as required.

Skills and experience required

Integral knowledge of Carrier Operations.

Proven track record building and developing client relationships at all levels across a matrix environment, including the ability to deal with Senior Managers across a range of functional areas.

Demonstrable negotiation skills and influencing abilities, and the ability to deal with high value contract negotiations and senior procurement professionals.

A proven track record building relationships at board level internally and externally.

Gravitas to gain respect from piers.

Experience driving continuous improvement.

Ability to present detailed information and concepts in written reports or presentation slides, excellent analytical skills, including the ability to work extensively with data sets and infer conclusions for improvement activity from excel spread sheet analysis.

A team player who also works well autonomously.

Excellent analysis and interpretive skills with a high attention to detail.

IT Literate to intermediate level, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications.

Full Driving licence (agile role will require travel)
