Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for a Carrier Management Specialist to join a rapidly growing team of an extremely innovative, globally renowned eCommerce distribution business. This is a home based role with travel to one of their offices once a week.

Ideally, our client require someone with 2 plus years experience in the end-to-end carrier industry but the role will also suit any persons with a good understanding of global parcel distribution and a personal desire to progress within the sector.

Scope of the Role:

This role provides support to our clients global network of final mile delivery providers, through ownership of day-to-day account management activities and hands-on involvement supporting leadership in delivering on strategic objectives.
The Carrier Management team, and the solutions the team enables, are central to the service proposition offered by our client.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead on daily account management activities for a designated number of carrier partners.

Support management with cross functional activities to enable global logistics solutions.

Operational planning.

Solution construct and ongoing support.

Digital touchpoint mapping and user experience.

Compile, monitor and report on service level KPIs, as directed.

Quantify service risks and proactively investigate failure.

Explore new opportunities for service or cost improvement.

Skills and experience required

Experience in the end-to-end carrier industry, alternatively a good understanding of global parcel distribution.

Detailed and thorough analytical mindset.

Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Innovative and customer focused.

Commercially astute.

Ability to adapt to rapid change.

Excellent time management and organisational skills.

Team Player, with a strong focus on collaborative working.

Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

Experience of working with or for an international logistics provider would be desirable.
