Scope of the Role:

As Carrier Manager you will play a key role in ensuring our clients operational solutions are managed end to end to provide a leading Global Parcel Delivery Service.

Your primary focus will be managing the end to end service for product originating from our clients facility in Utrecht, The Netherlands.

You will partner with the wider international business team to support the onboarding of new customers to our clients solutions, manage network performance within set KPI’s and lead the resolution of issues impacting service.

Continuous improvement will form a key part of the role and therefore you will be required over time to identify areas our clients service is suffering, make recommendations on how to improve, and work with stakeholders across the business to implement.

You will build relationships with a wide range of 3rd party carriers, including but not limited to those based in Europe so an engaging personality style and the ability to build strong relationships is a must for this role.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

Responsible for the End to End Global service management for all product originating within The Netherlands – across Europe, the UK and Rest of World destinations such as the USA.

Build & Maintain strong relationships with a wide range of 3rd party suppliers within the logistics and supply chain industry.

Responsible for negotiating contractual changes and price reviews with 3rd party carriers, which will require the preparation of exec summaries for senior management to review and sign off.

Problem Solving – identify and respond to any risks or issues that could prevent delivery within target SLA’s.

Reporting – provide daily updates to the Snr. Service & Relationship Manager, focussing on network performance and process compliance.

Reporting – monitor performance against KPI’s at a regional level, reporting into the central function where required.

Managing stakeholders at all levels – reporting daily into the Snr. Service & Relationship Manager

Continuous Improvement – Identify opportunities to improve operational solutions, defining the problem and working across the business to implement improvements.

Supporting the Senior International Business Managers with day-to-day service support and expertise in our clients international solutions.

Skills and experience required

Experience in the logistics and supply chain industry – preferably ecommerce or retail.

English Speaking.

Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.

Highly organised.

Ability to work at pace.

Collaborative engaging style.

Ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.

Good Microsoft office skills.

A second European Language would be desirable.
