Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for a Carrier Operations Manager, on behalf of a rapidly growing eCommerce distribution business.

£50,000 – £60,000 basic salary (dependent on experience) plus car allowance, KPI related bonus structure, package, and excellent opportunities for career development and progression.

Key Responsibilities:
Carrier Partner Management:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with carrier partners both domestically and internationally. Ensure carrier performance meets company standards and contractual obligations.
Operational Oversight:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of carrier partners, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of parcels. Address any operational issues and implement solutions promptly.
Travel:
Travel regularly to LHR to visit partner sites, ensuring operational excellence and fostering strong supplier relationships. Some international travel may also be required.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Analyse operational data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. Prepare detailed reports and presentations for management.
Strategic Planning:
Develop and execute strategic plans to optimise carrier operations. Collaborate with senior management to align operational strategies with business goals.
Performance Monitoring:
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for carrier operations. Ensure continuous improvement in service quality and operational efficiency.
Process Improvement:
Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency.
Stakeholder Communication:
Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders. Provide regular updates on operational performance and strategic initiatives.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the parcel and cross-border logistics industry.
Proven experience working with carrier partners both domestically and internationally.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL).
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strategic planning experience with a proven track record of developing and executing operational strategies.
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
