Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for an English and German speaking Client Development Manager on behalf of a rapidly growing eCommerce distribution business.

£50,000 – £60,000 basic salary (dependent on experience) plus car allowance, KPI related bonus structure, package and excellent opportunities for career development and progression.
Your Mission:
As Client Development Manager, you will oversee the delivery operations for a major retailer, you will be a key leader responsible for ensuring the successful and efficient delivery of logistics services. Your strategic acumen and operational expertise will contribute to the growth and success of our clients operations in Germany.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership for the delivery operations, overseeing day-to-day activities to ensure timely and accurate deliveries to stores.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement operational plans aligned with business objectives.
Lead and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Ensure effective communication and coordination within the team to meet delivery targets.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with the retailer, understanding their specific logistics requirements and ensuring client satisfaction.
Act as the primary point of contact for the retailer, addressing any concerns and proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.
Implement best practices to enhance overall operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Continuously evaluate and optimise delivery processes to meet or exceed service level agreements (SLAs)
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of delivery operations.
Regularly analyse and report on the performance of the delivery team, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Collaborate with logistics service providers and suppliers to ensure seamless coordination and integration of delivery services.
Negotiate contracts and agreements to optimise cost-effectiveness and service quality.
Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
Oversee regulatory matters related to delivery operations, implementing necessary measures to maintain compliance.
Address and resolve any delivery-related issues promptly, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to implement effective solutions.
Implement proactive measures to prevent recurring issues.

You will be both entrepreneurial and highly analytical, able to work extremely effectively in a matrix organisation and adept at understanding how businesses work in Country.
Minimum 5 years experience in a demanding Key Account Management, Carrier Management, Analysis or Customer Experience position.
Has preferably been working within FMCG / last mile carrier.
Strong in negotiation and excellent interpersonal skills.
Growth-oriented, and experience from turn arounds.
Proven result delivery.
Structured problem solver, strong analytical and communication skills with an emphasis on clear, concise communication.
Ability to create strong relationships internally and externally with cross-functional partners and experience delivering results in a matrix environment.
You can think both strategically and tactically. You have strong intellect, a broad perspective, and the confidence to engage with senior leaders across multiple disciplines.
Comprehensive understanding of “final / last mile” carrier knowledge.
Able to travel to Germany once a week (or as and when required)
Fluent in German and English (Essential)
