Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for an experienced Commercial Analyst, on behalf of a rapidly growing eCommerce distribution business.
£40,000 – £42,500 basic salary (dependent on experience) plus KPI related bonus structure, package and excellent opportunities for career development and progression.

Key Responsibilities:
Pricing and Cost Models:
Build and manage pricing and cost models to support the business. Ensure models are accurate, comprehensive, and updated regularly.
Volumetric Equations:
Confidently use volumetric equations to assess and optimise shipping and logistics solutions.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Analyse commercial data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities. Prepare detailed reports and presentations to support sales and financial strategies. Work with carrier partners to gather and analyse data related to logistics performance.
Sales Support:
Collaborate with the sales team to develop pricing strategies, forecast sales performance, and evaluate the effectiveness of sales initiatives.
Financial Analysis:
Work with the finance team to analyse revenue, costs, and profitability. Provide insights into financial performance and support budgeting and forecasting processes.
Market Research:
Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs. Provide recommendations based on research findings.
Performance Monitoring:
Develop and maintain performance metrics and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and business performance.
Strategic Planning:
Support the development and execution of strategic plans by providing analytical insights and recommendations.
Process Improvement:
Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency gains within the sales and finance functions. Implement best practices to enhance operational effectiveness.
Team Collaboration:
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with sales and finance teams to align on strategies and objectives. Provide analytical support and insights to help both teams achieve their goals.
Communication:
Facilitate effective communication between sales and finance departments to ensure that all stakeholders are informed and aligned. Present findings and recommendations clearly and concisely.
Project Participation:
Participate in cross-functional projects, bringing analytical expertise to support project objectives and drive successful outcomes.
Feedback Integration:
Collect and integrate feedback from sales and finance teams to continuously improve analytical processes and deliverables.
Regular Meetings:
Attend and contribute to regular team meetings, ensuring that progress, insights, and issues are shared and addressed collaboratively.
Minimum of 3 years experience as an Analyst in the logistics industry (experience in Cross border would be desirable, but is not essential)
Experience working with carrier partners both domestically and Internationally.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
Proficient in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau).
Proven experience in building and managing pricing and cost models.
Confidence in using volumetric equations for logistics and shipping optimisation.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
