Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for a Commercial Manager (Contract Logistics Strategic Accounts) on behalf of a pan-European leader in tailor-made transport, logistics and supply chain solutions.

You will be part of a highly dedicated and professional team, who are responsible for delivering the highest quality of service to an internationally dedicated client base.

As Commercial Manager (Contract Logistics Strategic Accounts) you will be responsible for developing smart networks that will deliver new opportunities with strategically important European clients. You will represent the entire range of products and services offered by our client whilst ensuring customers’ needs and expectations are met and/or surpassed.

Other key responsibilities will include:

Retention and growth of specific contracts by nurturing on-going and genuine relationships with senior stakeholders in customer organisations whilst cultivating team to team engagement.

Liaising with strategic customers on a regular basis and responding to specific enquiries in a timely manner.

Leading quarterly business reviews with customers.

Developing and executing strategic plans.

Analysing data and building business cases that deliver new opportunities in a timely 

Lead improvement projects and assist the Strategic Accounts team in delivering solutions.

Building a strong relationship with the Contract Logistics Operations teams.

Playing a key part in assisting the company meet and surpass its budget growth ambitions.

Maintaining and updating Strategic Account management tools that act as a roadmap for 
crafting account specific strategies.

Skills and experience required

Experience of working at a strategic level within a Commerical, Strategic Accounts or Relationship Manager role.

Upwards of 3 years experience in a commercial, international logistical environment.

Detailed knowledge of European & UK transport.

Experience in Contract Management.

A proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationship with customers.

Commercially astute with a strong commercial drive.

A keen eye for detail.

Excellent communication and influencing skills.

A people manager who thrives working in a high performing team.

Willing to travel as required.

IT-literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.

Educated to a minimum of Bachelor level or equivalent would be preferable but not essential.
