Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for a Director of Commercial Finance and Performance Management on behalf of a rapidly growing, globally renowned logistics business.
Hybrid working – 3 days in the office – 2 days from home.
Circa €140,000 – €150,000 basic salary (dependent on experience) plus car, KPI related bonus structure and package.

Your Mission:
Reporting directly into the Chief Financial Officer, this a critical, senior role within the Finance function and wider business, facilitating effective performance management and supporting and challenging commercial and operational functions.
Working with the CFO to drive the financial performance of the business by providing reliable accounts, actionable performance reporting, challenging business plans and offering insightful financial support and analysis.
Overseeing the production of accurate, reliable, detailed and timely monthly accounts (at a route and company level) and performance management reporting that provide the benchmark for performance.
Providing effective leadership and management for the team of senior business partners, management accountants and performance management specialists.
Supporting profitable business growth – providing financial results, forecasts and analysis to assist in the formulation and execution of plans.
Supporting, identifying and leading business change initiatives.
Playing a leading role in developing the finance department, ensuring team and individual performance improvement are delivered seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as delegate for the CFO when required.
Build trusting relationships with senior business managers and colleagues to facilitate effective and influential impact on results.
Manage the business partner, management accountant and performance management teams to produce accurate, reliable and timely monthly Management Accounts and Performance Management reporting.
Facilitate senior management team understanding of current and projected financial performance through managing the preparation and communication of financial reports, plans and budgets.
Support business decision making with analysis and interpretation of financial data including trending, benchmarking and KPI analysis.
Lead the planning, reporting and business analysis activities, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, timeliness and relevance of all output.
Manage the Business Partners to support growth, business change and cost reduction initiatives; reviewing and critiquing projects, ensuring that a disciplined and structured approach is maintained throughout.
Ensure personal behaviour promotes cultural change and reflects the values / behaviours of the business.

Experienced developing strong business cases, balancing cost, risk and future business.
ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified.
Degree level academic record.
Ability to manage and prioritise a complex and evolving workload.
Familiarity with Power BI or similar would be desirable but not essential.
A proven track record developing strong business cases, balancing cost, risk and future benefits.
Strong communication skills, including credibility at Board level with the ability to challenge and influence successfully.
Dutch and English speaking.
