Scope of the Role:

As Ecommerce Product & Marketing Manager, you will take ownership of a specific set of products and be responsible for the extension and expansion of these products, as well as taking new propositions through the full product lifecycle from initial investigation to launch and in-use by customers.

It’s imperative you have good listening and creative skills as you will be the voice of the customer and be acting as the interface between our clients domestic and international marketing team.

You will be responsible for analysing customers’ needs and experiences and feeding your findings back to the board.

You will be developing sales tools, communicating our client’s vision and value of products to the sales team and creating unique selling points for new products and innovations.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for the full product lifecycle including proposition development, product concepts, business case preparation, requirements gathering, readiness for development, go-to-market planning, product launch, growth initiatives and product end-of-life.

Communicating our clients vision and the value of the new products to the sales team and helping them to develop tools that facilitate the sales process.

You will work closely with the board and transition your product vision to ensure new products and features result in solutions the customers will love to use.

Creating mind maps, user journeys, process flows and project planners.

Own the go-to-market plan for products, working with all Departments to execute the plan.

Developing commercial solutions which are scalable and repeatable.

Creating product marketing messages and unique selling points that set our client apart from the rest of the market.

Effectively own and drive product initiatives with short, medium and long-term roadmaps from idea to launch, maximising impact on revenue and margin growth.

Evolve and deliver on the product vision and objectives ensuring alignment with overall product and company strategy.

Work closely with our clients customers and customer-facing teams to develop close relationships and a reputation for adding value.

Skills and experience required

Three or more years Product Marketing Manager experience in a B2B business.

Our client would love it if you have experience in Ecommerce, Logistics or Supply Chain.

Highly skilled at prioritising and experienced working in an Agile environment, you are a trusted partner to your colleagues. The ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience is a must.

You’ll need a can-do attitude with a passion for product management; the strategy, the operations, and everything in-between.

Experience of developing commercial solutions that are scalable and repeatable.

The ability to quickly forge trusted working relationships with colleagues and business partners of all levels.

Data-driven with a commitment to process, you bring evidence-based decision-making.

Persuasive and influential, able to deal with resistance to change and reach an agreed way forward through negotiation.

Commands respect and able to create a sense of community across key stakeholders.

A keen eye for market opportunities and how to utilise it to commercial advantage in the development of new products.

A great commercial mindset – thinking in terms of customer need, pricing strategies, value and return.

Comfortable presenting to prospective customers and acting as the subject matter expert.

Ability to interact with colleagues, customers, partners and suppliers in a professional and polished manner.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to listen effectively and interact at all levels within the organisation.

Strong team player with the ability to work well autonomously.
