Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for a European Transport Planner to be based out of Daventry on behalf of a Globally renowned logistics business.
Our client has engaged with Vidu VIP to carry out the initial search process.

Scope of the role:
To provide end to end supply chain solutions for our clients customers. This role will require planning and management of the Various Accounts carried by our client, ensuring the provision of up to date and accurate visibility and ensuring the costs and sales associated with the European transport movements are in line with the customers’ requirements.
Key Activities:
To work as part of a small team managing European and domestic subcontracted road freight movements (FTL/LTL)
Communicating daily with hauliers, partners and customers regarding route planning changes and operational issues resolution.
Strategic and proactive planning with timely responses to unplanned changes as a result customer/operational issues resolution.
To resolve and respond to customer queries in a timely manner.
Provide spot rates to customers, finding the most cost effective mode of transport and haulier.
Growing existing business.
To create weekly financial back ups and working with the finance team to ensure invoicing is done on time.
Resolve haulier invoice queries.
Support other Planners and the EU Operations Manager.
Previous European Planning experience.
Good knowledge of European Geography.
Knowledge of customs requirements and process.
Excellent organisational skills.
Ability to manage own time and workload.
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a European solution team.
Excellent interpersonal skills in order to communicate with multiple countries.
Capable of working with varying levels of people.
Other Information:
Occasional requirement to work UK National Holidays to ensure continuation of service to customer.
Due to the European nature of this role there is a requirement for some flexibility around working hours.
