Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for an experienced Airfreight Coordinator to join the team of an Award Winning Freight Forwarding business.

Your Mission:

As an Export Airfreight Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating airfreight shipments, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. It’s essential have a keen eye for detail, excellent organisational skills, and a strong understanding of airfreight logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

Handling clients’ enquiries, providing quotations and processing bookings.

Coordinate and manage airfreight shipments from origin to destination.

Effectively liaise with the operational team to ensure shipments are coordinated and delivered in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and client expectations.

Ensure all shipments comply with international and local regulations.

Prepare and process air waybills, shipping documents, and customs paperwork.

Negotiating with suppliers in order to maximise profit margin whilst adding value to the client.

Arranging customs declarations in a timely manner.

Liaising with overseas partners, airlines, transport companies to arrange quick dispatch and delivery of cargo.

Planning and arranging collection and deliveries as per client requirements.

Ensuring all customers are served in line with their Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

Monitoring the progression of transports and advising the client at agreed milestones.

Resolve any issues or delays promptly and efficiently.

Maintain accurate records of all shipments and transactions.

Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving complaints.

Building excellent relationships with customers in order to exploit further business opportunities.

Skills and experience required

Proven experience as an Export Airfreight Operator or in a similar role within a freight forwarding company is essential.

Strong knowledge of airfreight regulations and procedures.

Experience negotiating with airlines.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deliver high level of customer care.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Proficient in MS Office and logistics software.
