Vidu are running a super exciting assignment in the search for an Export Airfreight Operator to be based out of Heathrow on behalf of one of the UK’s most successful independent freight forwarding companies.
Our client have engaged with Vidu VIP to carry out the initial search process.
Vidu’s team of dedicated consultants will be your first point of contact when applying for this role.
Reporting directly to the Air Freight Manager you will be responsible for arranging and monitoring shipments to our clients worldwide partners.
The role will see you liaising with suppliers, and partners to deliver a high level of service to clients.
Main responsibilities include:
Maintaining and developing relationships with customers.
Meeting clients deadlines and requirements.
Monitoring supplier performance.
good file management and attention to detail.
Preparing quotes in accordance with clients requests.
Booking vehicles with sub contractors in accordance with requirements.
Completing required consignment documentation.
Charging of own files.
Assisting colleagues during holidays and staff absences.

To react promptly and pro actively to client requests.
Moment of truths handled correctly.
To ensure delivery deadlines and kept by monitoring suppliers.
To develop a good working relationship with your client accounts.
Maintain files in accordance with procedure.
To achieve operational standards.
Upwards of 4 years experience within the Air Freight Industry in a similar/same role.
Experience of FCL operating systems (desirable)
Knowledge of Export customs procedures.
A proven track record of developing client relationships.
Team player with the ability to work autonomously.
Previous experience of preparing quotes and consignment documentation.
Organised, methodical and good file management.
