Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for a commercially minded Financial Controller/Accountant on behalf of a rapidly growing eCommerce distribution business.
Circa £60,000 basic salary (dependent on experience) £6,000 per year car allowance, annual bonus, 25 days holiday plus statutory, pension and excellent opportunities for career development and progression in line with our clients growth plan.

Your Mission:
You will be responsible for the overall accuracy and completion of financial reporting and accounting process. This role has been created to support the development of a FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis) capability within the business.
The role has broad scope of responsibilities and requires an individual with high competence in:
GAAP and IFRS requirements
UK Taxes Statutory filing requirements
Group (MNC) accounts and consolidations
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate the completeness and accuracy of the company’s month end procedures.
IFRS international multi-GAAP (essential)
Systems implementation (workflow)
Review branch, company, and group cost results.
Accurate processing of financial transaction including recurring and non-recurring journals, Prepayments, Accrual, provisions etc
Interpret and provide insights related to branch, company, and group cost structures.
Production of financial results for the finance leadership or where required business leadership.
Engagement with the general business (Commercial and Operational teams mainly) in determining financial impact of business projects/initiatives.
Supporting the annual budgeting process as well as ongoing company re-forecasts.
Lead the engagement with statutory auditors and finalisation of audit files.
Providing financial guidance to a growing European finance function.
Completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Submission of statutory and tax returns as well as processing of treasury functions & foreign currency exposure management.
Minimum 8 years’ experience in finance, accounting, audit, and related fields.
ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification (must be a UK qualified Chartered Accountant or equivalently approved alternative).
Strong understanding of financial controls and governance.
Strong analytical competence as well as matured reporting capabilities.
Good planning and organisation skills are necessary to ensure all deadlines are met.
Attention to detail is key to ensure high standard of work.
Finance experience outside of an audit environment would be desirable.
Strong Microsoft Office capabilities – particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Experience in Microsoft PowerBI would be desirable.
Strong analytical skills, good route cause analysis, excellent communication skills, exceptional numerical proficiency, and collaboration skills.
Experience in International delivery and /or Logistics and transportation would be desirable but not essential.
The ability to harmonise financial operations, develop effective financial processes and control, guide efforts towards financial stability and promote revenue growth.
Proficiency and adaptability in accounting software packages.
FRS102 experience.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Experience in M & A would be beneficial but is not essential.
