About this position

Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for an individual experienced in Food Supply Chain Operations to join a rapidly growing, forward thinking logistics business in Manchester.

Dependent on experience the role is positioned at circa £35,000 basic salary, plus 10% company profit bonus, 5% pension, life insurance, Income Protection, plus holidays and excellent opportunities for career development and progression.

Scope of the Role:

Reporting directly into the Food Operations Manager you will be responsible for providing service excellence and delivering all supply chain requirements to our clients key Food clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing the full supply chain for key food clients in a multi modal environment.

Executing operational bookings efficiently and professionally using our Best in Class approach.

Ensuring full Customs declarations & management of DDP requirements are delivered, including handling of VET certificates and dealing with clearance agent at destination.

Keeping key food clients up to date throughout, which can include multiple updates throughout each day.

Delivering a positive service to the clients at all times.

Issuing monthly invoices and back-up reports.

Completing other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, as requested.

Always represent and act in the best interest of the company, the shareholders and the employees.

Work in accordance with the company values to maintain a positive environment with all teams across all departments.

Skills and experience required

A comprehensive understanding and working knowledge of client and operational requirements to ensure service excellence standards are met and exceeded.

Knowledge of the Food industry is desirable.

Experience with CargoWise is desirable, although not essential.

Empathetic & attentive customer service skills.

Competency in delivering operational excellence.

Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics.

KPI reporting on required operational standards.

Self motivated and works well in a team.

Clear communication skills with colleagues and clients.

Good time management and organisational skills.

Enjoy problem solving.

Willingness to learn.
