Vidu are working on a really exciting assignment on behalf of a hugely successful, privately owned freight forwarder.
Due to continued growth they are now looking to appoint a Freight Brokerage Account Manager to be based out of their Preston office.

Role purpose and responsibilities:
You will be part of a team responsible for operating and developing existing key customers and for nurturing and developing future accounts.
Increasing profitability and customer service.
Managing Full trailer loads across the UK & Europe.
Dealing with a strong network of Full trailer load carriers.
Negotiating costs with carriers.
Creating processes to be implemented throughout our clients business in relation to Import / Export Full trailer load carrier management.
The successful candidate will have a logistics background within the Full Trailer load freight and experience managing customer expectations and developing sales.
Full Trailer Load experience either Import / Export or National UK is imperative.
Experience of working within the Automotive & Aviation industry would be advantageous.
Excellent influencing skills and the ability to manage customer expectations.
A proven track record of managing monthly P&L.
Extremely commercially aware.
Excellent planning skills.
Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office systems.
The ability to demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills is essential.
A proven track record of working towards KPI’s and recording information accurately and to tight deadlines.
Ideally you will have knowledge of Tachograph and European regulations.
A second European language would be desirable.
Booking dedicated charter, Handcarry, Express Airfreight & emergency road solutions would be advantageous.
