Vidu are in the search for Tanker Drivers on behalf of a leading fuel supplier.

Purpose of the role: To deliver bulk fuel oils to business and domestic premises.
Reporting to Directors or their representative, a delivery driver is responsible for:
Daily checks of vehicle roadworthiness.
Reporting any defects found.
Collecting tickets for delivery schedules and planning route.
Calculating types of fuels required for the schedule, taking into account maximum loading for the type of vehicle.
Safely loading the required fuels from bulk storage facility on to a road tanker.
Driving to delivery addresses observing all road traffic rules and regulations, including those applicable to the transportation of dangerous goods, and following company policies.
Checking that receiving tanks are safe before delivering fuel.
Safely delivering correct volumes of the appropriate fuel into correct tanks at customer premises.
Respecting customer premises and property.
Completing all required paperwork e.g. daily walk round checks, meter tickets, time sheets, fuel sheets, etc.
Using all PPE and other equipment appropriately.
Using tachograph correctly.
Complying with legislation governing driving and working time.
Keeping the vehicle clean.
Complying with health and safety regulations.
Complying with all company policies and procedures.
Must hold Class 2 HGV licence.
Must hold driver CPC.
Hold or be willing to train for ADR qualification.
A maximum of 6 points on your driving license.
Ability to be flexible as you may be required to work weekends or evenings.
