About this position

Vidu are working on a super exciting assignment in the search for a Head of Network Operations on behalf of a rapidly growing, technology focused eCommerce distribution business.

Our client are seeking a motivated and driven professional to identify, develop and integrate innovative solutions and programs that lead to improvements that redefine the standards for their Cross-border network operation.

Your Mission:

As Head of Network Operations, you will take ownership of the UK, European and International Network.

Key Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for both strategic and execution planning. You will be responsible for analysing network performance and suggesting reconfiguration opportunities to optimise cost and service levels on a regular basis.

As part of the execution, you will plan hub to hub movement and regional movement. You will be the main point of contact to ensure the availability of trucks and also be responsible for performance management.

On a regular basis, you will monitor placement of vehicles, transit times and delivery performance across the transportation network. As a part of the role, you will be identifying improvement opportunities and then take business improvement programs from inception to successful implementation. This involves but is not limited to building strong internal and external relationships, addressing transportation network design, and developing innovative programs that drive improvements in the transportation processes.

Aligning transportation needs and network design across multiple programs and carriers – Cooperating and influencing internal and external stakeholders and implementing cross-functional process changes.

Articulating clear business and technical requirements to affect process changes.

Skills and experience required

5+ years of qualitative/quantitative data analysis related to Supply Chain, Operations, Transportation/Logistics or Inventory Management.

5+ years of experience managing cross-functional programs, including external and internal stakeholders.

Intermediate knowledge of basic data analysis tools such as Excel, Tableau, SQL.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, Logistics, Supply Chain other related fields. Master’s degree in industrial engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations Research, MBA or related field would be advantage but is not essential.

4+ years of work experience with Supply Chain Management concepts i.e., forecasting, planning, operations, optimisation, and logistics.

4+ years of work experience on writing documents, process improvement proposals, business requirements, business review docs and proof of concept.
