Vidu is working on a super exciting assignment in the search for a Head of Pricing, on behalf of a rapidly growing eCommerce distribution business who are entering an exciting new phase of growth and looking for an ambitious commercial professional to help scale their ecommerce delivery solutions across the UK and international markets.
£70,000-£80,000 basic salary (dependent on experience) plus £575 per month car allowance and industry leading benefits package.

Your Mission:
As Head of Pricing you will responsible for defining and delivering our clients pricing strategy across Domestic, International, E-commerce, Retail and Returns services.
You would lead pricing governance, profitability management and commercial decision support, ensuring pricing remains competitive, operationally deliverable and financially sustainable.
Working closely with Commercial, Carrier Management, Finance and Operations, your role will be to provide a clear link between market dynamics, carrier costs, customer pricing and overall business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Pricing Strategy & Commercial Leadership:
Define and own the end-to-end pricing strategy across all our clients products and services.
Develop pricing frameworks across Enterprise, Mid-Market and SME customer segments.
Align pricing strategy with our clients long -term business objectives.
Support revenue growth while maximising margin and EBIT contribution.
Develop new pricing methodologies and commercial propositions to maintain market competitiveness.
Pricing Governance:
Establish pricing policies, approval frameworks and governance processes.
Lead commercial pricing reviews and recommendations.
Prepare pricing decision papers and business cases for Executive approval.
Ensure consistent pricing execution across Commercial, Operations and Carrier Management functions.
Maintain pricing discipline and accountability across the business.
Profitability & Performance Management:
Working with Operational Finance, monitor pricing and profitability performance at customer, product and route level.
Analyse key profitability drivers including:
Carrier costs
Linehaul and injection costs
Delivery and returns costs
Customs and cross-border costs
Operational handling costs
Develop KPI reporting and customer profitability analysis.
Identify margin improvement opportunities and corrective actions.
Market & Competitive Intelligence:
Maintain a detailed understanding of UK and international parcel markets.
Conduct competitor pricing and service benchmarking.
Monitor carrier pricing movements, regulatory changes and market trends.
Provide strategic pricing recommendations based on market intelligence.
Carrier Cost & Capacity Management:
Work closely with Carrier Management to model cost changes and network developments.
Assess the impact of volume fluctuations on operational and carrier costs.
Ensure pricing reflects network capacity constraints, peak surcharges and service requirements.
Support carrier negotiations through detailed commercial modelling and scenario analysis.
Proven experience in a senior pricing, commercial finance, or revenue management role, ideally within logistics, parcel, or ecommerce delivery.
Strong understanding of pricing strategy, profitability management, and commercial decision support across multiple products and customer segments.
Demonstrated track record of defining and delivering pricing frameworks that balance market competitiveness with margin and EBIT growth.
Advanced analytical and financial modelling skills, with the ability to interpret cost drivers and profitability at customer, product, and route level.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to influence executive decision-making.
Commercially astute with the ability to translate market dynamics and carrier costs into competitive, sustainable pricing decisions.
Experience establishing pricing governance, approval frameworks, and controls across commercial and operational functions.
Proficient in data analysis and the Microsoft Office suite, particularly advanced Excel.
Desirable:
Experience working within a parcel carrier, third-party logistics (3PL), or ecommerce fulfilment environment.
Familiarity with carrier cost structures, including linehaul, injection, delivery, returns, and cross-border/customs costs.
Experience supporting carrier negotiations through commercial modelling and scenario analysis.
Knowledge of UK and international parcel markets and competitor pricing benchmarking.
Experience leading or developing a pricing or commercial team.
