Vidu are running a fantastic assignment in the search for a Head of UK Sales on behalf of a leading total logistics supply chain operator, who specialise in time critical, temperature controlled, high security and dedicated transport.

Reporting directly into the Sales Director this is an exciting opportunity to lead a growing Sales team of a well-established company with hugely ambitious growth plans.
You will be responsible for the UK Sales function and owning the sales strategy to grow the business and customer base with profitable growth in line with existing service offering.
Responsible for the UK Sales team with regards to the management of the people, co-ordination of pipeline, CRM and other sales activity
Full ownership of high profile/high value sales opportunities and converting them into new business for the company
Managing the process for account planning, customer forecasting, CRM, target setting, training requirements, improvement programmes and financial reporting for the team
Managing and keeping track of forthcoming RFQs, RFPs and tender submissions and empowering your team to lead proposals/submissions on time and to a high quality, whilst keeping other internal stakeholders up-to-date
Understanding the buying/selling process and providing support to the sales force through sales tools, training, and marketing expertise to ensure their ability to sell solutions
Leading CRM/Key Account Management programmes for the UK business
Responsible for lead generation into target markets and then collaborating/partnering, coaching and progressing with the Telemarketing and Sales to turn these opportunities into sales
Liaising with Sales personnel in Germany, Poland, Portugal and Austria to help co-ordinate group sales initiatives and projects
Overseeing the marketing co-ordination for the company through management of marketing co-ordinator and management of third party agencies
Managing sales & marketing budget
A proven track record of selling dedicated, express, time critical transport and air and sea freight is essential
Experience of managing/leading a sales function is highly-desirable
Dynamic and self motivated with the ability to adapt confidently in any client situation
Must be able to demonstrate an exceptional track record of developing and maintaining relationships
Very entrepreneurial, and self driven with a passion to succeed
Must have high energy, be extremely focused, have exceptional time management, presentation and negotiation skills
